Helping our tenants to reduce their carbon footprint by providing renewable green energy with various arrays of solar panels.

An ethical and environmental friendly approach.

At present, we have two solar arrays with a third planned in the near future. All together they have the capacity to generate 200kwh of electricity - which supplements the energy consumption of all the tenants and residents at Station Farm helping them to reduce their carbon footprint. All surplus energy that is produced is fed into the national grid - which is then used to supply other businesses and residential customers with renewable green energy via various energy suppliers.

The greatest advantage of the supply of renewable green energy to our tenants is they can rest in the knowledge that they are all helping to reduce their carbon footprint by employing an environmental friendly approach to the running of their businesses.

Renewable energy production.

For energy conscious business owners that may be interested in the production levels of our green zero carbon energy at Station Farm, we have provided an average breakdown below:

(i) Although the capture of renewable energy (such as solar and wind) is the way forward, its efficiency and energy production is affected by the natural cycles of the sun, earth and its weather. The energy production of our solar arrays are therefore affected by the seasons. However, due to the size of our arrays and the number of panels we have, even throughout the winter, they are still able to produce enough energy to make a significant impact in offsetting the farm's CO2 usage.
